What Is the Court Size and the Scoring System of Volleyball?

The scoring system and court size are also different from other games. The optimum court size for volleyball is 18m long and 9m wide. The two halves of the volleyball sides are 9m long. The height of the volleyball net is 2.43 m for men and 2.24 m for women. The front and backcourt are 3m from the net on both sides of the two halves.

As per the rules of volleyball, the matches are set to the best of five contestants where four sets of the game are played till either of the team scores up to 25 points, and if the teams are tied up to two sets after the court and the fifth set is played to 15 points. If the game is tied to 24-24 or 14-14 in the fifth set, the set is still continuous until one team builds and the two-point lead over the other.

What Are the Different Positions of the Volleyball Player?

Setter:

The setter's job is to settle the offence and set the ball for the teammates.

Middle Blocker:

The middle blocker in volleyball depends on the team. It helps the team initiate the block on the spikes coming from the opponent's courts and attack the balls set in the middle of the court.

Primary Hitter:

The primary hitter, or the outside hitter, plays a vital role in baseball. This person plays on the left side of the game.

Weak Side Hitter:

Out Rules 

An out is considered when the ball hits the antennae or falls outside the court, any net, or cables present outside the antennae, the stand pole, or a non-playable area.

Catching, holding or throwing the ball is not allowed in the game. You can contact the ball with any body part; it is not out.

Line Rules

The player cannot attack or serve from the on or inside the 10-foot line.
